Car free day in DC and Montgomery County?

Fat chance. I just don't see anyone ditching their cars for the day just 'cuz.

People who are inclined to consider the environmental impact of their commutes are already curbing their consumption. The rest won't, unless and until the pain of the pump exceeds the convenience factor.

But I could be wrong. We'll see.

I'll be doing my usual walk to the metro to walk to work commute.
